Day 171 St Augustine Round 2

  After a long day on the helm, we finally made it to St Augustine. We absolutely love this oldest town in America. So many fun things to do over the 2 days to come. Number one on the list was getting mint ice cream, which we have already done.    We have an excellent mooring ball location between the bridge of Lyons and the fort  https://maps.app.goo.gl/6Ty6M4tX6MXxLs8P7?g_st=ic From our mooring ball, we can see dolphins swimming, horse drawn carriages in the downtown district and highschoolers on their prom night walking around downtown.   

Day 170 Artemis 2 Rocket Launch Viewing from Daytona Beach

  We left New Smyrna Beach and had an easy three hour sail up to Daytona Beach. Before Jessica and I hauled up the anchor (Jessica takes the helm while I tend to the windless),    I found the infamous lizard on the deck and donated him as fish food, so now we can sleep better tonight knowing that a lizard will not crawl into our bed.    Jessica and I got out of the dinghy and took a couple mile stroll to the area with all the restaurants and parks. We made it in time for lunch so we thoroughly enjoyed a Mexican lunch together. We walked around the Vincent Van Gogh art gallery and enjoyed the downtown area on a weekday when it was not so crowded. We enjoyed the gardens despite the vast amount of dead foliage still around from the hard freeze that Florida had this winter. We came back to the boat and took Alli on a dinghy ride to the beach.
