Day 20

 










We decided to stay an extra day in St Augustine. We got up at 1 AM to see the SpaceX rocket launch. When we woke up in real the morning time, I thought the morning ball was acting funny on the side of the boat, so when I went to untangle it, we ended up getting a kiss blown from a sea turtle!  Then we took a walk over the bridge of lions and got street tacos and ended up at the lighthouse. What a view from the top! We started the day with turtles and are ending the day now watching some dolphins chase some bait fish. Tomorrow we will unhook from the mooring ball and head south with a stretch goal of Daytona Beach. We absolutely love everyone’s comments, however, we don’t know who is the author, since Google just says “anonymous”. Please leave your name after your comment….

    So the SpaceX launch was one of the pictures. I thought I was looking at a jellyfish. LOL Wanda

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.
