Day 25




 








Jessica and I sailed to one of our last anchorages in FL.  The weather has turned warm, so I took a jump of the bow.  Jessica and I took a dinghy ride around Jensen Beach and saw an Eagle Ray swimming in front of us, then we enjoyed the afternoon on the beach. Groceries are running low, so we enjoyed a dinner at the local dive restaurant.  We are hoping to cross over to the Bahamas within the next week after the upcoming windy spell.

    It looks like y'all were up close and personal with that eagle ray. I love the picture with Ali playing in the surf.

      That eagle ray was amazing to see… he did not like us following him for sure😌

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.
