Day 27

 







Today Jessica and I dinged over to the dinghy dock and caught an Uber to the Publix grocery store . We stocked up on some items to last us through this next blow (cold front / windy period) and until Kim arrives.   We did the Beach thing today and I rekindled my hobby of juggling, this time it was with coconuts. We also saw an emergency with a  family on a boat plowing through the no wake zone with a child having an epileptic seizure.  All seem to be well when the ambulance showed up. Then we had our friends Tim and Carolyn come over to play some Mexican train for our sundowner.

      We laughed at your dinghy word usage…. I don’t think it is a verb🙃 Scott loves to juggle… balls, oranges… now coconuts😘

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.
