Day 56 arrival at Little Harbor

Today we woke up at the backside of marsh Harbor at mermaid reef and decided to go for a snorkel before setting sale. Jessica and I saw lots of beautiful fish and I was able to harvest two lobsters. One was borderline being legal, and the other one was a monster.  We we tried to split the big lobster tail half-and-half, but we could not finish it at dinner.  Then we had a rare circumstance in which the wind was in our favor and we could actually do some sailing without the motor to reach pelican cay land and Sea Park. We had a fabulous snorkel where we had been about a week ago, but this time there were no eagle rays, sharks, or turtles. But we did see a stingray a moray eel, and lots of parrot fish. Then we made our way to Little Harbor, where we are awaiting a weather window to make the 12 hour  passage in open ocean to Spanish Wells.

  1. Scott and Jessica thanks for sharing your journey! What an incredible voyage so far. Love the fact that you caught a monster lobster and had a feast from your catch! That’s as fresh as it gets! Safe travels for the remainder of your journey. Look forward to seeing your future posts. Robin

  2. Catching monsters at sea... You're giving Captain Ahab a run for his money. Lobster it's your new hamburger. It's definitely cheaper. As I paid $8 for a pound of 85% lean yesterday. I'm glad you both got some authentic sailing in amongst all your adventures. And I'm wondering if your GoPros are working, I like to see some underwater pics or videos.
