Day 65 Egg Island

Jessica and I found a remote beach at egg Island. Someone had made a swing  with the name of their sailboat engraved on the swing seat. The reef and island is where the water depth comes up from ~ 1000 ft to 10 ft which creates absolutely beautiful colors!  We snorkeled along the edge of the ragged limestone shoreline, and saw some pretty fish, including a turtle, stingray, Damsel, Sergeant Major’s, Parrot Fish, and numerous colorful fish that I could not identify.  We did find one spiny lobster and was able to get him into the dinghy for dinner!  We are ending the day now with playing phase 10 cards, enjoying the Christmas tree, preparing the lobster tail, drinking a cocktail, and so thankful for Starlink Internet service.   But most all, we are in awe  of God’s creation on this Earth!

  1. Oh my God! You make us dream. I'm so happy for you that you are enjoying such a wonderful time. We have only one life, let's live it! Good for you. I am following you using an old Explorer Chart book found on the free table. I found your Egg Island. But there is also Little Egg Island. Which one are you on? I'm learning so much from your trip details. Hugs

  2. We anchored at big egg Island and desired to snorkel little egg island but the 5 foot waves made it impossible. We still saw lots of good stuff at big egg Island, but it was probably not as vibrant coral as little egg Island. Thanks for the comment!!!

  3. These pictures you will treasure when you think back on this trip. Some are stunning! The colors of the ocean, I'm going to be trying to mix that color up in my paint.

And that lobster, 🦞 The other white meat! But I did take time to notice your Robinson Caruso knees in the first picture. Our tan is gone here, but I see you guys are still living Life large in the Sun.
