Day 68 Best Natural Area We Have Ever Seen














Today we anchored on the sound side of the Glass Window Bridge (because you can see through from the sound to ocean side) and Queens Bath’s of Eleuthera.  We locked the dinghy to the jagged limestone rocks….first time for everything! The waves hitting the jagged limestone rocks is one of the neatest natural areas we have ever seen in our lives.

    The water looks so playful...the baths so relaxing...no tourists, just you and nature....these images can't compare to being there, but I am grateful having seen and heard it through your videos.

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
