Day 72 Chilling at Governor’s Harbour

Town water spigot.

This morning, I made a run to get 5 gallons of gas in a Jerry can, and water  from the town spigot.  Jessica had a nice talk with her Mom and wished her a merry Christmas. Then we went into town at Governors Harbor and walked around a bit. I found a cell phone store and bought a SIM card so that we can navigate while walking in towns away from the Starlink on the boat. Jessica bought a dress with her birthday money from my Mom and Dad . Then we were looking for a certain restaurant to eat lunch at from the Google map and Google said we were at the restaurant. I turned around and sure enough the food truck that was providing shade so I could see my phone was indeed the  restaurant!  We got cracked chicken, french fries, and corn and rice. It was delicious.  No frills, very Bahemian, you just kind of get whatever they have that day. No menus… which was all just fine with us. Talked to an old man whose daughter was working at the ‘restaurant“….he has been here his whole life and he was super friendly and interested in what we were doing. Everybody here is really really friendly. Jessica and I spent the afternoon sitting in the chairs on the beach near our Anchorage. We picked up a few seashells and walk the beach, this time there were no stray dogs.  So excited to be celebrating the birth of Jesus this Christmas while in the Bahamas with my Soulmate!
