Day 74 Snorkel and Beach Fish Fry
Look at the electrical connections.

This morning Jessica and I strolled around cupid‘s cay, where we saw the very first jail in the Bahamas. Then we strolled around Governors Harbor (and saw an 8ft shark - from land) before it got too hot. We came back to the boat to grab some lunch then we went on a snorkel where we saw Blue Hamlets, Barracuda, Nassau Grouper, Lion Fish, Pompano, Bar Jacks, Porkfish, Butterfly Fish, Queen Angelfish, French Angel fish, Sargent Majors, Rainbow Parrortfish, Cowfish, and Moon Jellyfish. We had heard about the Friday night fish fry and party on the beach for a week now so we decided to give it a shot. We thoroughly enjoyed the fried fish and barbecued chicken cooked by the locals on the BBQ over driftwood on the beach. Somehow I made it out to the dance floor, i.e. street to dance to traditional Bahamian music (but eventually they played YMCA). Tomorrow we plan to sail further south.

That sounds like quite a day! See all those different kinds of fish and then go snorkeling after seeing an 8-ft. Shark... But your whole Robinson Crusoe thing is adorable, especially with the fishbone picture. I feel confident that you could have talked that shark right out of any ideas they may have.
ReplyDeleteJessica, your red dress is adorable! Is that the one you just purchased with your birthday money?
