Day 76 Cathedral caves
Trying to keep my shorts dry before the hike..
After a few boat chores in the morning, Jessica and I bushwhacked through a primitive trail to find the cathedral caves. Jessica indeed went in because she could see light the whole time (since Jessica gets claustrophobic sometimes). We saw a blue hole that rises and falls with the tides because it is filled with ocean water through caves. We strolled around town in rock sound settlement. We discovered that the supply ship with fresh vegetables comes on Tuesday so we will wait and go grocery shopping then. We have seen plenty of dogs, cats, chickens, lizards, pigs, and dolphins. And today we saw goats on the road…..We were sure to keep Ali far away. We attempted to get a conk salad, but the conch guy did not show up today. We have learned that everyone is on island time and stores are open occasionally throughout the day. However, everything is closed on Sundays, except of course, the liquor store.

Last time we were there a local farm would bring their extra veges to town and sell them cheap. Whatever was coming out of the garden that day; tomatoes, peppers, arugula, lettuce
ReplyDeleteOh I'd love to see a picture of their local farmers market! I'm sure the veggies are worth the wait so is the fruit.
