Day 77 beach fire at Governor’s Harbour
Moon setting.
Well, Rock Sound was not hitting on too much, so we decided not even to wait for the shipment of fresh vegetables to be delivered and headed back north to Governors Harbor, as a first step to meet Jason in a week. I changed the oil in the diesel engine, transmission, and Honda generator. I finally got the battery charger configuration set to get a 100% charge which had been 40 days….the refrigerator and Starlink Internet service are our biggest energy hogs. Now we are all set for keeping the batteries topped off every day with the generator. We collected some water from the town spicket and Jessica cleaned some conch shells with a wire brush that we had found. We have found that the queen conch shells are absolutely beautiful for a couple weeks, but then you need to keep them out of the sun to prevent bleaching of the bright pink, white, and red colors. Then we made a fire on the beach and reminisced about our trip so far. We both agree that this been is an adventure of a lifetime that we will never forget. So thankful for our health, safety, and everything is working well on the boat.
See you Sunday 🥳
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful day, and sunset! Ali, looks great, as do both of you. I think this pace agrees with you.
