Day 101 Jessica’s Sister Noelle Arrives

 










Today, Jessica‘s sister Noelle finally made it to Methuselah at 10 AM.  Very, very friendly Bohemians connected her with a tour boat that was taking customers out to see iguanas, sharks, pigs, etc.  The tour boat took her right to Staniel Cay Yacht Club which was a simple 10 minute dinghy ride for us. We gave Noelle some much-needed food and then went for a beach trip. After lunch, we snorkeled two different sites. The second site was absolutely spectacular with the Thunderball Grotto Cave (007 movie was filmed), and beautiful fish along with one sea turtle. The three of us are watching the sun go down from Methuselah and so excited that Noelle is here.

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
