Day 103 Noelle settles into Paradise

 









Noelle, Jessica, and I sailed south today and ended at Wardwick Wells cay. We hiked up to look for the blow holes, but the tide was not quite right. However, we had an excellent view on top of boo-boo Hill. We spent some time under the gazebo and talked to three couples who had rented a bareback boat out of Nassau. They commented that everything was broken on the boat except for the engine. Ha ha. Jessica got her steps in on the Long Beach and Ali had a good time chilling under the Shimbuni.  Noelle found some live conch, however, we are still in the land and sea park so no harvesting today. We watched the sun go down and looked for the green flash, however, not today.  We ended the day with a great hobo pack dinner with sausage, sauerkraut, potatoes, corn.

Day 1

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
