Day 109 See Ya Later to Noelle
Noelle’s view leaving Staniel Cay.
Got up early to bring Noelle in the dinghy to the airport dock. I said my goodbyes and Jessica walked with Noelle to the “terminal”. We had an excellent eight days with Jessica‘s sister. Noelle caught onto boat life quickly, she was so fun to talk with, play games, and she got her sea legs very quick, especially with the last couple days being pretty rolly at night. It was such a pleasure to see the joy in her face just being in the Bahamas. We took advantage of the sunshine today before the upcoming blow this weekend and took a snorkel trip and gathered six conch. We took them to the beach and Jessica caught up on her journal and I cleaned up the conch in preparation for conch salad. I was so focused on cleaning the conch, that I had forgotten that I had pulled the drain plug on the dinghy to drain water from a motor boat that sped by and swamped the dingy, that the dinghy filled with water and sand while in ankle deep water. After removing the water from the dinghy, Jessica and l came back to Methuselah and hosted our friends Ron and Shelly from our home port at Blackbeard sailing club with appetizers. They are anchored in the same anchorage and it was so fun to get to know them better and hear about their Bahama’s trip.

Trip of a lifetime. I'm on my last leg home. I already am missing you both and the Bahamas. I am truly in my element when I'm near a beach! Thank you both for the memories, the delicious food and introducing me to conch!!! Yummy! Remember, a "bad" day in the Bahamas is still 100% better than a day at work with no beautiful blue water!!!! Bring me back a queen conch! Love you both soo much. You are the BEST hosts and family. Until our next adventure. Be safe and know I'm missing you BOTH!!!
