Day 85 Queen’s Baths
















We sailed over to the beach that has the queen’s baths.  Jason was mesmerized when he saw the raw effect of mother nature’s waves pounding into the rocks. We had a nice swim in the baths and Jason said he was never going home.  We had a beach fire in the evening and grilled up some hotdogs and ate good ole’ruffles potato chips. A good time was had by all.

Jessica and Jason saw a dolphin on the bow for at least five minutes. Truly a moving experience.

    I know you are enjoying sharing all these beautiful places with a familiar face from home ... Nothing says beach bonfire like chips and hotdogs. It must be such fun to have company.

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
