Day 86 Shark Spotted by Jessica while Snorkeling (but only a baby!)

 










We brought the GoPro camera to a good snorkeling spot here in Eleuthera. The pictures of the coral and the fish did not do it justice but we got a few good shots of the three of us snorkeling. Jessica saw a baby shark, and led Jason over to see a turtle that she saw swimming by the rocks. After a couple hours of snorkeling, Jason and I got out of the water, but Jessica just kept snorkeling for another hour at least. I think she is turning into a mermaid. She absolutely loves snorkeling. I scraped the bottom of the boat, then we made our way south to Rainbow Cay. We had a nice walk on the beach and enjoyed some sliced cheese and wine for our Sundowner while playing 80s trivia on the iPad.  Then we cooked hobo packs for dinner.

    Your sundowner sounds nice...cheese, wine, and hobo packs....ours is Chex mix, 77 degrees and football.

Day 1

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
