Day 97 Relaxation Sunday

Today was going to be our relaxation day. We did watch our favorite church service on YouTube from Cornerstone Church out of Leesburg, Virginia. Today’s sermon was on the 7 worries.  Then we went to a another beautiful beach, and I had a hard time sitting more than 30 minutes in the beach chair. So before we knew it, we had our mask, snorkel, and flippers on and did some underwater exploring.  Then Jessica wrote in her journal and Alli entertained other cruisers that joined us on the beach.

    Jessica, I'm so glad you explained what he was doing. I was positive he'd probably passed out from drinking gin.. did you find any lobsters?

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
