Day 117 Being Lazy at the Lazy River
This morning we purified some water, filled Methusala‘s diesel tank with diesel fuel from Jerry cans, and Jessica cleaned down below. After lunch, which consisted of leftovers, we explored in the dinghy and found a super neat winding canal from an abandoned resort that was only halfway built, that oddly enough was owned by hog farmers in North Carolina. Then we took Alli to the beach and went on a hike that was super short, but had a beautiful view on top of the ridge. We made another beach trip and met some fellow cruisers, then came back to the boat and watched our favorite YouTube church broadcast from cornerstone church in Leesburg, Virginia. Today was still a bit cool with temperatures topping out around 70 but was sunny. Speaking of temperatures, we have learned that when the temperature drops down so low as into the 60s, the local Bahemians wear winter coats and sock hats, and the snow birds from Canada go swimming with no wetsuit.
