Day 122 Jessica Takes the Lead
Standing in the dinghy getting a propane refill for cooking.
Today started with a routine of daily chores. Today’s chores consist of me getting some propane and coordinating the delivery to the dinghy dock, getting a few fresh veggies for our salad, and paying five dollars to dispose of a bag of trash. Jessica cleaned the dishes and vacuumed the sand in the cabin . Jessica talked to her dear friend, Wanda, and got the scoop on the status of mail and caught up on what’s been going on back home. Then we did one of my favorite things to do, which was to look on the cruising app and Google maps and decide what to do for the day. The winds were light and the temperatures were up so we decided on snorkeling which we haven’t done in a week. We gased up the dinghy and headed south. We jumped in and looked around the sand and grass bottom for the reef and could not find it. However, Jessica swam out ahead and took the snorkel out of her mouth and said “Scott, it’s over here”. I loved the enthusiastic voice when she beckoned me over to a beautiful patch of brain coral and fan coral! At first, I was towing the Dinghy with a short line, then she instructed me to tie the dinghy to the mooring ball provided by the Moriah Bahamian Park Service. Then she held my hand while we enjoyed taking in the beauty of the reef.

Sounds like a perfect day!! Love, Noelle
