Day 123 Preping for Surf & Turf….
Today was another light wind day, so we took advantage and went snorkeling at two locations. The first spot had an underwater cave, which we did not go into, of course. But we really enjoyed watching the fish school around the entrance to the cave. And there was warm water coming out of the cave and we could see the twinkling of the warm water hitting the cooler water outside the cave. There was also a mysterious hole in the sand that had some very big fish swimming in and out of the hole. Additionally, there was a nice lobster sitting outside the cave so we took the lobster and Jessica got a video. Therefore, we will have surf and turf for Valentine’s Day tomorrow. We found another reef on the outside edge of Elizabeth Harbour, so we tied the dinghy to our arm and snorkeled for an hour. Our friends, Ron and Shelly, had us over for appetizers on their boat, called Good Fortune. Steve and Donna joined us and we had nice hors d’oeuvres and reminisced about the recent days in the Exumas. Then we all went over to the beach bar and watched a movie on the beach, called Maiden. It was very inspirational to learn about a real life story about how women took the lead in an around the world sailing race in the early 90’s. I always love it when the underdog wins!

Nice form with the lobster harpoon thingy. You make it look so easy
