Day 153 A Rainy Sunday

Our morning view drinking coffee. The official airport for North Bimini is right beside our Anchorage, which is a sea plane water landing strip.

It sprinkled absolutely all day long. Jessica and I  managed to make it over to the cruise ship tourist area and we splurged and got some gelato. It was absolutely delicious as we have not had a homemade dairy frozen treat since Florida 4 months ago.  Even though we couldn’t get our favorite mint chocolate chip, I got pistachio and Jessica got Pomegranate and Banana.  We walked around the casino where all the college spring breakers were playing blackjack. We couldn’t help but chuckle when one college stud doubled down on a pair of 3’s and lost $375 in one hand. We came back to Methuselah and played the phase 10 card game for free and had a wonderful time chitchatting.  We worked out the goPro bugs and download another snorkeling video from yesterday and attached below.  We also watched our favorite minister from a church in Virginia. Today’s sermon was about what it will be like in heaven if you have faith in Jesus! Link to sermon below:

Day 1

After nine months of planning and preparation, we finally left the dock today. Today is our two year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Chris for surprising us with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse this morning. Paul threw the dock lines on Methuselah, and Debbie and Chris took some pictures as we left Blackbeards. We will celebrate our anniversary on anchor in Beaufort tonight.

Day 3

  We got a good night sleep despite the gunfire from Camp Lejeune.     We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and we made our way with following winds and tides down to Wrightsville Beach where we met my good buddy Dennis at the dockside restaurant for a late lunch.    Picked up a Mooring ball at Carolina Beach and had a nice stroll on the boardwalk with Allie testing the bark collar….she wore out the battery!    We hope by the time we get to the Bahamas, she will be used to people and dogs in strange towns.

Day 2

  Left this morning from Beaufort with a cool motor down the intercoastal waterway past Swansboro and ended up anchoring in mile hammocks Bay at Camp Lejeune. At times the motoring got a little monotonous so we decided to play with the WebCam and get these    cute pictures.    Tomorrow, the weatherman promised us the sun!
